Job Summary
We are looking for key member of our team. The role of Barback is an entry level position and key to the success of bar service. The person in this job is a support staff member who helps bartenders and other staff members in our bar/restaurant run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Anticipating bartenders' needs: Barbacks keep an eye on what bartenders need and make sure they have everything they need, such as glasses, garnishes, and fresh kegs.
- Restocking supplies: Barbacks restock alcoholic beverages, ice, straws, napkins, and other supplies. They may also help unload and store kegs and drink bottles.
- Cleaning: Barbacks clean glassware, coolers, and the lounge area. They also maintain the dining/bar area to ensure it kept clean.
- Preparing: Barbacks prepare garnishes and help with opening and closing the bar area.
- Serving: Barbacks may serve food and drinks to customers.
- Other duties: Barbacks may help bartenders with breaks, answer questions, and handle unexpected situations with customers.
Experience
- Experience in a restaurant/bar environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
- Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
- Must be able to prioritize and multi-task.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
