Sinnissippi Centers seeks to hire a full-time Clinical Trainer/Internship Coordinator. The Clinical Trainer/Internship Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and organizing training opportunities for Sinnissippi's clinical staff as well as overseeing our internship program. The right candidate is eager and outgoing. They pay great attention to detail and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
Clinical Trainer:
- Update and provide current trainings on clinical services, skills, and requirements
- Research and develop new trainings to address clinical concerns, growth, and initiatives
- Locate and interpret current research, laws, and regulations to include in trainings to the agency
- Travel to various locations within the agency to attend team meetings and provide lunch and learns to answer questions and develop relevant trainings
- Work with the Training Coordinator to monitor all trainings, tracking, and processes to promote growth
- Research, develop, and provide community presentations on clinical, behavioral health topics as requested
Internship Coordinator:
- Contact and maintain relationships with different higher education institutions as an internship site
- Review candidates, conduct phone screenings, and interview candidates for internships
- Monitor resources and track available openings for internships, ensuring physical space and supervisor capability
- Work with qualified internship supervisors to monitor intern progress toward educational requirements and skill development
- Meet with internal internship candidates to discuss and coordinate completing internships while remaining an employee of the agency
- Plan, monitor, and facilitate a weekly group supervision for interns
- Work closely with human resources to attend job fairs and develop materials to recruit internship candidates and assist in the hiring process

Salary: $68,479 - $80,463
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Strong computer skills
- Candidate must meet the requirements of a Qualified Mental Health Practitioner (QMHP) as defined by the State of Illinois. (see definition below)
- LCSW/LCPC preferred
Qualified Mental Health Professional or QMHP definition - One of the following:
- A licensed social worker (LSW) possessing at least a master's degree in social work and licensed under the Clinical Social Work and Social Work Practice Act [225 ILCS 20] with specialized training in mental health services or with at least two years experience in mental health services;
- A licensed professional counselor possessing at least a master's degree and licensed under the Professional Counselor and Clinical Professional Counselor Licensing Act [225 ILCS 107] with specialized training in mental health services or with at least two years experience in mental health services;
- A registered nurse (RN) licensed under the Nurse Practice Act [225 ILCS 65] with at least one year of clinical experience in a mental health setting or who possesses a master's degree in psychiatric nursing;
- An occupational therapist (OT) licensed under the Illinois Occupational Therapy Practice Act [225 ILCS 75] with at least one year of clinical experience in a mental health setting; or
- An individual possessing at least a master's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or a related field who has completed a practicum or internship that included a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised direct service in a mental health setting, or who has one year of clinical experience under the supervision of a QMHP.
