The newly established Center for Bioprocessing (C4B) is strategically located within the renowned Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, at Levit Green. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed by a dedicated team of experts, C4B is poised to drive innovation in bioprocessing.

We are looking for a motivated Inside Sales Associate to join our dynamic and growing team in Houston, Texas. This is an entry-level full-time position, offering the opportunity to build a career in sales and account management within the biotech industry. You will work closely with a supportive team, leveraging collaboration and communication to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional client service.




Job Title: Inside Sales Associate

Location: Houston, TX

Job Type: Full-time (Onsite Monday-Thursday, WFH Friday)




Responsibilities:

Territory Support & Quotes:

  • Handle quote inquiries for assigned territories, ensuring timely and accurate responses to client needs.

Prospecting & Scheduling Meetings and Interdepartmental Collaboration:

  • Proactively identify new prospects and schedule meetings for Field Application Scientists (FAS) and Territory Account Managers (TAM).

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to align strategies and ensure seamless client engagement.

  • Provide feedback from clients to internal departments, helping refine product offerings, sales tactics, and customer support.

  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and client satisfaction.

Maintain Current Client Relationships:

  • Act as a key point of contact for existing clients, ensuring continued satisfaction and support.

  • Follow up with customers post-sale to provide additional resources, answer questions, and ensure product performance aligns with expectations.

  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities by staying informed about client research and evolving needs.

  • Address and troubleshoot client concerns in collaboration with the customer support and technical teams.

Sales Data Analysis:

  • Conduct analysis on sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Client Engagement & Sales Support:

  • Identify and engage potential clients, leveraging scientific expertise to understand their needs and recommend suitable products and services.

  • Present reagents and contract research services effectively.

  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through clear communication and timely follow-ups.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform additional tasks as required to support team objectives, including assisting with cross-functional projects and ad hoc assignments.




Requirements:

  • An understanding of molecular and cell biology concepts, coupled with exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills for effective engagement with researchers.

  • Preferably previous junior-level sales experience in the life sciences industry, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals, preferably involving reagents and contract research services.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Life Sciences, Biology, or a related field preferred.

  • Occasional travel required to various cities in the U.S. as needed.

  • Must be able to lift and move 25-50 lbs.

  • Must be based in or within commutable distance to Houston, Texas.
