Summary
Plans, directs, and controls activities related to the Sales and Service of products used in hot and cold rolling of Flat Steel Products to accomplish the execution of a Sales Representative Agreement. Ensures sales and service objectives are achieved consistently with quality requirements.
Essential Functions
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This entails the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend and stand as necessary.

Summary

Essential Functions
- Manage sales, service, and orders of products used in hot and cold flat rolling through development and implementation of policies and procedures for application, pricing, quotations, contract review, credit review and payment terms.
- Oversee marketing of products used in hot and cold flat rolling through development and implementation of marketing plans for the target market area
- Maintain regular and as needed contact with customers through electronic and physical communications and conduct routine as well as on-call visits to customers’ locations to achieve sales, service and marketing goals
- Plan, organize, facilitate, and escort manufacturer’s engineers during visits to the market area for purposes of sales call, service calls, and industry events or conferences
- Cooperate with supplier staff at various locations to achieve manufacturer and Company goals
- Communicate with coworkers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
- Perform other duties as directed by the President & CEO
- Sales, sales management, and marketing skills
- In-depth knowledge of Flat Products, Steel Rolling, and Roll Shop Operations
- General knowledge of metallurgy
- Detail oriented, extremely organized, and resourceful
- Supervisory skills in a team-based environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs
- Ability to travel up to 70% within a defined sales territory in the USA, Canada, & Mexico market area(valid driver’s license required)
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Engineering, or Metallurgy; or
- Minimum of ten years of experience in Sales and/or Sales Management of technical products in an industrial market; and
- Minimum of five years of general management experience
- ISO-9001 experience and exposure; and
