Roberts Sinto is currently seeking a Saw Cutter to join our Team in Grand Ledge, MI
What You Will Do
Saw Cutter is responsible for receiving raw material and providing steel cut to requirements, properly prepping, machining and laying out components and parts to blueprint to setup the Fabrication and Welding department.
General
- Responsible for receiving, unloading, and storing raw material.
- Use blueprints to determine necessary components for jobs.
- Responsible for marking cut steel correctly.
- Check material size and quality.
- Correctly mark and tag material.
- Complete job paperwork, tracking job time, and deliver paperwork to next department.
- Responsible for delivery of cut steel to the next department.
What We Want From You
- High School education or equivalent. 1-5 years manufacturing experience, steel cutting and layout fabrication experience preferred.
- Must be able to read and interpret metric measurements
- Technical skills and the ability to understand blueprints, schematic diagrams and technical manuals preferred
- Dexterity and good hand-eye coordination, with the ability to manipulate and assemble very large and extremely small components
- Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to analyze and resolve basic problems. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or equipment, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, extremes of heat and cold, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
