Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and IT infrastructure. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Duties
- Provide technical support for desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and hardware.
- Assist users with Active Directory management, including user account creation and permissions.
- Maintain and support LAN connectivity, ensuring reliable network access for all users.
- Collaborate with the IT team to analyze system performance and implement improvements.
- Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system to maintain accurate records.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by effectively communicating technical information to non-technical users.
- Participate in network administration tasks as needed to support overall IT infrastructure.
Experience
- Proven experience in a desktop support or technical support role.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common software applications.
- Familiarity with mobile device management and troubleshooting mobile devices.
- Knowledge of network administration principles, including LAN setup and maintenance.
- Experience with Active Directory for user account management is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to users of varying skill levels.
- A customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on resolving issues promptly.
