This role includes managing patient relations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing administrative, financial, and staff management functions. The Dental Clinic Manager is critical in enhancing patient satisfaction, improving clinic performance, and supporting health center goals.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manages day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, patient flow, and effective utilization of resources.Oversees patient relations, addressing and resolving patient complaints professionally and promptly.Develops, implements, and maintains clinical policies and procedures, particularly concerning clinical and administrative operations, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, and FQHC-specific requirements, to maintain accreditation and adherence to industry standards.Oversees the clinic’s Quality Assurance Program and participates in quality improvement initiatives.Oversees patient financial accounts, billing procedures, and insurance claim processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Coordinates and participates in community outreach programs and events to foster strong relationships with the community.All other duties as assigned.Recruits, interviews, hires, and coordinates onboarding of new staff members, maintaining an inclusive and productive workplace.Manages staffing schedules for both locations.Manages and directs daily staff assignments.Monitors performance through regular evaluations and salary reviews.Coordinates team meetings, staff training, and continuing education to foster professional development and ensure high standards of care and service.Provides regular reports and updates to health center leadership on clinic performance, budget, compliance, and quality metrics.Collaborates with other departments within the health center to ensure integrated care and support organizational goals.QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred.Experience : Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience in a dental or medical office.Knowledge : Familiarity with OSHA, HIPAA, and FQHC regulations. Proficiency in dental software, budgeting, and financial reporting.Skills : Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and manage staff effectively.Attributes : Strong initiative, independent judgment, and problem-solving abilities.Pay depended upon education and experience.
