We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dog Trainer to join our team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs tailored to individual dog needs, focusing on obedience, socialization, and behavioral modification.
- Conduct group training sessions and private lessons for dog owners, providing guidance on proper handling techniques.
- Assess each dog's behavior and progress throughout the training process, adjusting methods as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and positive training environment for both dogs and their handlers.
- Educate dog owners on proper care, handling, and communication techniques to reinforce training at home.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being of all animals in the facility.
- Stay updated on the latest training techniques and animal behavior research to continuously improve skills.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of animal care practices, including dog handling and animal restraint techniques.
- Experience working in a kennel or similar environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary assistant is a plus.
- Proficiency in pet grooming is an asset but not required.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey training concepts to dog owners.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for animals are essential traits for success in this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $13.55 - $20.00 per hour
