What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Trainer position at Sit Means Sit College Station?
SEASONAL POSITION: Looking for immediate availability to begin training for the upcoming summer season. Position will hold until beginning of September. Seasonal employees are the first to be offered year-round positions if available.
Primary job will be to train and work with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. You will be working with dogs to overcome behavioral issues as well as master advanced obedience skills. As a trainer, a large part of your job will be interacting with and teaching clients. You will be responsible for many aspects of communication, both individual and in a group class setting. You must be comfortable to be in front of the public, either at events, groups classes or through street marketing. Later tasks will involve sales.
Training for the position is available on-site. If coming with prior dog knowledge, please note that we are balanced trainers but are open to any background.
