SEASONAL POSITION: Looking for immediate availability to begin training for the upcoming summer season. Position will hold until beginning of September. Seasonal employees are the first to be offered year-round positions if available.
Sit Means Sit - College Station is a dog training company that is looking for a part-time Kennel Technician. This position is an entry-level position with the potential for growth within our business. Must be 18 years of age or older, professional, friendly, and have reliable transportation.
Techs possess genuine love and appreciation for animals. Techs are obligated to ensuring the general well being and maintenance of all pets in our care. Team-oriented, positive, and excellent customer approaches are fundamental. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily
Position requires the ability to multi-task, organize, follow detailed instructions, and adapt to our fast-paced environment. Additionally, adherence to scheduled task list and cleanliness standards is required. Tech must be capable of handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments, without intimidation and fear. Tech must be in good physical condition, able to squat, stoop, bend, lift 60 pounds, and do a lot of standing and walking.
General duties include but are not limited to:
- Bathing, drying, clipping nails and cleaning ears (training available).
- Feeding and monitoring of boarded pets.
- Administering medication as needed.
- General janitorial duties - cleaning up of both indoor and outdoor areas.
The position is fillable immediately. A working interview will be required before a job offer is made. Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays. On-site training is available.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
