How You'll Add Value
The Carpenter engages in the construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial buildings. This position reports directly to the Project Foreman/Superintendent.
How You’ll Get It Done
- Follow all policies and procedures per the Site Specific Health & Safety program.
- Follow blueprints and building plans per specified requirements.
- Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials.
- Construct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframes.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding, and inspect/replace damaged framework.
- Communicate among project team, vendors, clients, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate project punch lists.
- Adhere to proper Temporary Protection procedures as applicable.
- Meet specified deadlines and complete all duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site at all times.
- Complete daily time entry for payroll purposes.
What You're Bringing to the Table
- 5 years Construction/Carpentry experience preferred
- OSHA Certification Required
- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in both rough and finished carpentry settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines and efficiently execute all the tasks assigned
- Sound understanding of all safety regulations and norms for working with carpentry tools
- Must provide his/her own tools and equipment required for the position, as well as reliable transportation
- Physically able to lift and carry material up to 50 lbs. as needed, as well as climb and work with ladders
