Plating Line Operator
1st shift: 6am-2:30pm
Pay: $20-$22/hour based on experience
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
Job Description:
Responsible for the operation of the plating line, including the loading and unloading of plating racks, running the copper line, and performing all operations associated with the Nickel strip line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Rack cast parts & hardware to the appropriate rack, following the process document for correct location and orientation of part.
2. Remove completed parts from racks and place in appropriate bins, carts, or other storage devices.
3. Inspect parts for plating quality and complete coverage.
4. Report plating defects or problems relating to the plating line to the plating supervisor in a timely manner.
5. Assist in the periodic dismantling and cleaning of the plating line tanks, conveyor, transfer device and other plating related equipment.
6. Safely operate the Nickel strip line including basket loading, manual parts movement, rinsing, secondary parts cleaning, and all other aspects of the operation.
7. Safely handle a wide range of hazardous chemicals including strong acids & caustics.
8. Assist lead operator with nickel filter cleaning.
9. Start up & shut down of plating & WWT when needed.
10. Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
