Operations Manager Landscape Installations and Construction

Job Description:

• Oversee construction and installation projects and assure a smooth, effientent, defect free process
• Communicates with company managers, field staff, subcontractors, vendors, and customers
• Manages materials supply chain daily
• Establishes work schedules for crews
• Schedule staff
• Manages truck and equipment schedule and coordinates maintenance with mechanic
• Efficiently uses company resources
• Oversee safety and company policies, procedures, and their compliance
• Ensure time sheets and paperwork are done accurately and in a timely manner
• Provides crew leaders with job planners, plans, information prior to start of a job
• Provides site walk through with crew leaders prior to start of the job
• Ensures jobsites are ready for work to begin
• Tracks job progress and ensures all hours are applied to appropriate tasks
• Tracks change order tasks and ensures all materials and hours are accounted for
• Conducts end of project walk through to ensure quality of work and expectations were met

Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or other certification/degree, or 5 years of experience in landscape construction.
• Thorough knowledge of plan reading and interpretation including grades, scale, and layout
• Thorough understanding of installation means, methods, and order of operations
• Good organization, coordination, planning and time management skills
• Communication, team work, leadership
• Excellent motivation, negotiation, and conflict management skills
• Excellent critical thinking
• Ability to spot and eliminate all forms of waste

Pay is commensurate with experience.
