Sitemetric - Full-Time On-Site Field Tech

Would you like to use your skills to transform how the world is built?

Construction impacts everyone: how we live, work, and interact. But it's among the least digitized industries, hampered by disconnects, inefficiencies, and poor information-flow.

That's why we're seeking a highly talented Field Technician to support Sitemetric's mission to connect everything on construction sites to everyone who needs to know. Our solutions and services enable our customers to safely deliver more successful construction projects on time, within budget, and dispute-free.

We are growing quickly, and need top talent to continue our nationwide expansion and maximize our customer impact.

As a Field Technician, you will be critical to the maintenance and expansion of Sitemetric solutions across construction sites that use our Badging & Real-Time Location System. You will work directly and collaboratively with Sitemetric personnel and customers to ensure smooth operations and safety onsite.

What you'll do

System installation and documentation: You will install our Real-Time Location System (RTLS), scanners, and other equipment, including walking construction sites to identify areas for optimal deployment and relocating equipment based on project needs. You will also build, test, deploy, and retrieve our equipment on active job sites, as well as documenting all these steps and mapping equipment locations for use by other Sitemetric personnel and our customers.

System monitoring and maintenance: You will manage Sitemetric systems (RTLS detection equipment, manual scanners, others) deployed on job sites to confirm inventory and ensure all are running properly and transmitting accurate data. You will resolve identified errors as quickly as possible. Maintenance also requires management of RTLS-equipment battery status: monitoring and replacement of batteries across sites, among other responsibilities.

Technical support: You will field calls from our onsite Data Control Officers (DCOs) when there is a system outage or error, and provide support to DCOs and customers navigating our system or attempting to fix a technical problem.

Quality control: You will help manage quality control of our automated reporting: checking for, documenting, and resolving identified issues.

General support: You will take a proactive, problem-solving approach to tackling challenges and innovating around design, scalability, and service-delivery as Sitemetric continues to expand nationwide.

What we're looking for

Most important qualification: Passion, purpose, and urgency about shaping an industry and making large, enduring impact. We seek people who can act as relentless advocates of customer needs and wants, while pursuing constant innovation to meet those and maximize the customer and team experience. We want to hire individuals with deep interest in building a game-changing service in the construction industry.

Education and experience: 2 years of Field IT experience, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting; construction experience highly preferred, RFID preferred and Military experience is a plus!
