Position Overview
The Regional Agronomics Manager is responsible for a unified / coordinated approach focused on providing an overall strategic sales and marketing plan to grow profit and agronomic product sales in a Sales Region. The Regional Agronomics Manager is responsible for communicating merchandising, operational standards and growth plans to sellers and branch team members. They are an integral part of the collection and sharing of competitive feedback to Regional & Divisional Leadership. The Regional Agronomics Manager will focus their efforts on localized assortments based on the geographic area, product and service demands.

Position Overview

What You'll Do
- Report directly to Regional Vice President (RVP) and provide a single point of contact for agronomic product business needs and analysis
- Develop and implement the strategic sales and marketing plan to grow profit and margin in the agronomics product line
- Work with the VP of Agronomic Category Management to identify industry leading technologies to better position SiteOne in the marketplace
- Analyze stocking SKUs and levels to better determine correct products and quantities to service the market
- Partner with key vendors to establish regional promotions utilizing our scope and leverage to affect the market, increase profitability, and create direct link between what we choose to sell and what the market uses
- Analyze matrix pricing to match with market pricing. Strong KVI pricing, Best, Better, Good lineup for each segment, position key sole sourced or highly leveraged products in markets to influence market, gain market share, and increase profitability
- Coordinate with the field buyers to ensure that regional strategies are in line with procurement needs
- Ride along with agronomic sellers to help understand their strengths and weaknesses to develop formal training and individual development plans, in addition to meeting customers in each market
- Drive and increase training for customers and SiteOne associates. Utilize vendors to create first class training opportunities as part of “SiteOne University” and include destination events and Partner Program points
- Attend Regional / Divisional management meetings and provide product line analysis and support of the corporate strategy
- Coordinate marketing strategy to localized media outlets including trade shows, industry magazines and local industry meetings
- Reinforce company safety standards as well as helping create safety standards that are unique to agronomics categories in branch operations.
- Provide a merchandising plan and standard of operations in agronomics branches
- Perform regular visits to branches to evaluate inventory, sales operations, operating standards, and provide assistance in staffing assessments
- 7 years retail/distribution industry experience with an agronomics focus
- Extensive knowledge of industry practices and products
- Must possess outstanding skill in managing product inventory and general understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, POS and CRM systems (able to locate product, create transfers, enter bids and process orders)
- Degree in a business/management discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
