What you’ll do:
- Supervise Shippers and Receivers to ensure orders for international and domestic customers are packed according to company standards, as well as international industry shipping standards (if applicable).
- Supervise Drivers to ensure that their loads are secured prior to departure as per federal and state regulations.
- Schedule loads for shipments, both internationally and domestically.
- Maintain the completion report to make sure customer parts orders are printed and pulled in a timely fashion. Expedite back-order parts through supply management.
- Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance.
- Oversee overall operations of warehouse and inventory management and assist the branch in achieving other goals as needed.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Forklift experience preferred
- Supervisory experience, which includes work direction, coaching, and performance management, along with good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Logistics work experience in such areas as warehousing, materials management, or transportation, preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work quickly and accurately
- Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
- Landscape, Nursery, or Irrigation product knowledge is helpful
- Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Degree in a Business/Management discipline, Supply Management Discipline, or equivalent experience preferred
