Position Overview
As an Art Director, you have broad multichannel creative experience, including Social, Digital, Email, Merchandising, Product Packaging and Event channels. You inspire your team and our customers by delivering eye catching and memorable creative. This is a Manager position with direct reports. This position reports to the Creative Director.
Responsible for leading a small internal creative team, guiding design from concept through production, reviewing work, problem-solving and providing concise feedback. This position will focus on creative excellence, partnering with Marketing, Content, Brand, Digital Production and Merchandising teams to ensure business and strategic objectives are met.
This position requires candidate to be located near the Atlanta, GA area. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Develops and designs engaging and relevant creative/concepts that align with strategic and creative briefs. Drives integrated campaigns across channels.
- Collaborates with in-house teams, agency partners and other Marketing channels to ensure creative alignment to brand objectives and standards.
- Creates a culture of omni-channel thinking and problem solving.
- Champions new media/forward thinking opportunities and technology solutions for improving channel efficiency and creative performance. Optimizes creative processes to meet deadlines, and streamline workflows enabling quality and consistency at scale.
- Leads the creative team managing day to day creative process from concept to execution for all of our channels. Proactively identify and remove barriers that might impair the team's ability to meet goals and objectives. Effectively produces or delegates creative work.
- Responsible for performance management, mentoring and coaching for the internal team. Help facilitate the creative department’s culture of collaboration, creative development, innovation and speed to market.
- Collaborate with and manage copywriters to develop headlines, ad and collateral copy, and video scripts for a variety of customer-facing and internal creative content.
- Collaborate with and manage videographers, photographers, designers and animators to produce a variety of customer-facing and internal creative content.
- Manage and maintain brand standards for six private label brands.
Skills We Are Seeking
Qualifications
- 7 years of proven leadership experience working on omni-channel campaigns, reflected in a strong portfolio of work.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and design engaging creative with respect to the audience segments and the customer journey.
- Fosters passion for great work and continuous improvement as an individual and with the team.
- Invested attention to the full project lifecycle with the ability to work on multiple projects in different phases of development and execution.
- Able to think strategically independently and achieve alignment with partners.
- Demonstrated ability in creating or evolving strong brand design systems and being a steward for maintaining and evolving established brand standards.
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud apps — experience with rapid prototyping tools like XD and Figma preferred.
- Experience with workflow and project management systems as well as digital asset management systems.
- Experience managing direct reports strongly preferred.
- Experience directing photo and video teams preferred.
- Exceptional presentation and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills to develop complex and multifaceted projects over extended timelines.
