JOB TITLE: Maintenance Worker

REPORTS TO: Chief Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY: Assists in the performance of duties necessary to maintain the

physical structure of the hotel in good repair. Duties include carpentry, routine plumbing,

minor electrical work, minor mechanical repairs and other maintenance duties.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Makes general repairs: minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures, e.g., leaking faucet, repairing a sink drain

· Assists in administration of an on-going preventive maintenance program for equipment and guest rooms; performs planned maintenance on equipment to prolong life and prevent shut down, e.g., minor lubrications, adjustments, and cleaning

· Performs elementary painting and repairing of walls, furniture, cabinets, windows, doors, locks, keys

· Performs minor electrical and mechanical repairs

· Performs minor repairs on fans and air conditioners

· Performs routine plumbing repairs

· Performs rough carpentry work

· Assists in administration of special franchise maintenance programs

· Assists in maintenance of departmental tools, work spaces, and equipment

· Knows/observes safety precautions and fire safety procedures and emergency action plans and use of fire control/alarm systems and extinguishers.

JOB TITLE: Houseperson

REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Housekeeper

JOB SUMMARY: Cleans assigned areas in accordance with franchise procedures. Stocks

room attendant’s supplies, removes soiled lined and trash from carts, all guest service

functions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Cleans drink and vending machines and all surrounding areas. Empties all trash receptacles and ashtrays in corridors and public areas

· Cleans all outside area walkways; sweeps stairways and landings; cleans railings and washes all EXIT doors

· Cleans public restrooms

· Washes windows as per schedule. (Using Housekeeper’s Report from, sets schedule for window cleaning using dates as record)

· Cleans elevators, tracks, chrome, and stainless steel

· Spot-cleans walls and doors; removes cobwebs; cleans fire extinguishers

· Wipes baseboards, railings, phones, walls, vending areas

· Collects soiled linen from room attendant’s carts and delivers to area assigned

· Vacuums all inside corridors and shampoos carpets

· Assists in keeping all storage areas and linen room clean. Assists

· Housekeeper in checking supplies, opening cartons, and placing supplies neatly on shelves

· Assists in making beds and cleaning rooms, (flips mattresses on periodical basis) when necessary, as instructed by Housekeeper

· Delivers room service and picks up room service trays when needed – cribs and roll aways to guestrooms.

· Patrols pool area--cleans tables, empties garbage, cleans workout facilities

· Reports to Housekeeper and necessary information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
