As a Personal Lines Insurance Broker, you'll work with clients to understand their unique needs and provide tailored solutions to ensure they're properly covered. Responsibilities:
- Prospect and acquire new clients for personal and commercial insurance policies
- Build relationships with existing clients to upsell and cross-sell insurance products
- Develop marketing strategies to promote the agency and its services to get more clients
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understand their policy needs, and help them balance price over coverage with them properly understanding their choices
- Act as an intermediary between clients and insurance providers
- Meet with new, existing and prospective policyholders; actively listen to their needs to properly assess their circumstances and financial statuses and quote policy options tailored to their specific needs.
- Explain policy terms, conditions, and benefits to clients
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential policies or carriers we like to be appointed with investments
- Quote, bind, and issue new policies
- Renew and amend existing policies as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of policy documents
- Analyze market trends and data to provide informed advice to clients
- Conduct risk assessments to determine appropriate coverage levels
- Analyze client data to identify potential risks and opportunities for growth
- Ensure all transactions comply with regulatory requirements and company policies, as well as legal guidelines
- Collaborate with the service department and other team members and departments to provide comprehensive services to clients and ensure all client needs and service requests are handled in a timely and professional manner
- Stay updated on industry developments, market conditions, and economic trends
- Actively monitor client policy expirations to ensure no lapses in coverage and prepare new quotes proactively as needed
- Maintain accurate records and files in our AMS
- Manage client databases and CRM systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes
- Stay updated on industry developments, market conditions, and economic trends
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
- Meet sales targets and performance goals
- Broker License required
- Experience with P&C required
- At least 2 years of experience as a broker or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of insurance carriers and markets
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in insurance software and tools
