What you will do:
As our Division Controller, you will help the Accounting Team by supporting the financial processes for the company with a focus on the Standard Product Division. You will establish and drive the Division’s accounting, budgeting, internal processes and controls, and financial reporting with an emphasis on performance improvement. This position may work in our Detroit Lakes, MN, Ashland, OH, Plymouth, MN, Madison, WI or St. Petersburg, FL location.
The job:
Every day, your primary role will be reviewing financials and providing cost analysis along with data mining and reporting. You will be a member of the division’s management team assisting with developing long term operating plans including annual budgeting, quarterly rolling forecasts, providing quality management information and furthering the development of systems processes and metrics. You will support the company’s financial analysis function emphasizing performance improvement and external analysis.
The skills you need:
To succeed in this role, you must have 3-5 years of experience working as a Controller and possess a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You must have experience with financial analysis and cost management. You should possess strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, management and organization skills as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You should have experience in building scalable financial planning, analysis and reporting models and processes to facilitate divisional growth. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required, a CPA is strongly preferred.
