What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Control System Project Engineer position at SJE?
What you will do:
As our Electrical Control System Project Engineer, you will assist in designing our engineered control panels with a focus on highly engineered Variable Frequency Drive systems applied in Water and Wastewater applications. You will have the primary responsibility of generating engineered submittal packages, leading field start-up, commissioning, and training efforts for the company. This position works at our Tamp Bay Area, FL location, but some flexibility in remote locations within Florida may be possible.
The Job:
Every day you will design engineered panels using AutoCAD, review/interpret specifications to build to build VFD and SCADA control panels and will create bills of materials and documentation for the manufacturing of control panels. You will also work in close cooperation with Consulting Engineers and Contractors to ensure understanding and to obtain required information. You will be involved in the start-up and commissioning of complete Variable Frequency Drive system and Rockwell PLC based control systems.
The skills you need:
To thrive in this job, you must have experience designing industrial controls in AutoCAD, knowledge of harmonic filtering technologies, and exceptional customer service and customer facing skills. You must also have a strong knowledge of field troubleshooting relating to Variable Frequency Drive systems. You will also be responsible for generating project take-offs and generating quotations. A 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 5-10 years of experience is preferred.
