What you will do:
As our Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will work with the Manufacturing Engineer on the production floor where we make custom printed circuit boards for a variety of industries. This position will work in our New Hope, MN location.
The job:
At our New Hope facility, the Manufacturing Engineer supports production processes and equipment. The Manufacturing Engineer uses Lean practices for standardized work with an overall team objective to supply defective-free products that meet or exceed customer expectations, while having a continuous focus for reducing product costs and increasing productivity and efficiency.
The Internship:
As our Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will work with the Manufacturing Engineer on the production floor performing machine time studies, routing updates and working on other projects. Some of the projects could include: learning and updating work instructions, taking time studies at various machines or during test procedures and using the information to improve processes or efficiency. You may watch assembly operations and assist Manufacturing Engineer input the data into our system.
The skills you need:
To succeed in this role, you must be willing to listen, observe, and learn the production processes and machines. You must have attention to detail and be willing to fully participate in the internship experience. You must be a self starter and willing to ask questions. You should be a junior or senior pursing a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field such as Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or similar field.
