Description:
Under the direction of the QA Manager, the Quality Assurance Manager Assistant coordinates, implements, and manages quality assurance activities to meet the requirements of the current Quality Management System. This is a leadership opportunity to promote initiatives ensuring conformity and quality improvement.
Shift: 1st
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments to quality assurance staff, ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
- Audit quality systems and initiate corrective actions as required.
- Develop and lead cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
- Provide technical quality assistance to customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Maintain gauge calibration programs and measuring equipment.
- Analyze quality reports and address areas needing improvement.
- Manage customer and vendor quality complaints and returns.
- Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and perform inspections.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Experience with quality assurance methodologies (APQP, PPAP, Corrective Actions, 8D).
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; proficiency in statistical analysis.
- ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and leadership skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Frequent moderate lifting, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, regular standing and bending.
