POSITION SPECIFICS
Reports To: Manufacturing Supervisor
FLSA Status: Hourly
ROLE
SUMMARY
Oversee basic aspects of the production line operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Assembly Floor:
- Work on the line in a position where all other line associates may be monitored/directed
- Ensure staffing levels and throughput levels are achieved/ maintained.
- Ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) by all associates.
- Train associates to be proficient in multiple positions.
- Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings with all associates.
- Rotate associates for cross-training throughout the shift.
- Help complete Incident Reports and participate in accident investigation as needed.
- Identify production issues – resolve or escalate as needed.
- Review Production specifications to assure correct components are brought to line and when components are out of compliance initiate a non-conformance process with Production Supervisor.
- Review label information requirements in order to validate and sign off on correct information by SKU
- Rework product that does not meet specifications but still available for reworking.
- Work with AVT technician (Actual versus theoretical) review paperwork to understand when component porting is out of compliance
- Monitor Units per Minute measurements against targets in RedZone to assure production line is meeting expectations around throughput.
Packaging:
- Read Packaging specifications to determine pallet configuration (stacking) and confirm stacking meets expectations.
ERP / OEE system:

Facilitate proper use of OEE (Redzone) Tablet to include:
- Starting a shift, monitoring hourly metrics, assigning problem codes, sending chats
Miscellaneous:
- Ensure products are built properly per customer standards.
- Notify Quality Assurance if any foreign objects are found on the components during the production run.
- Coach Production Line Workers on assigned line.
- Able to implement SK Food Group Emergency Action Plan.
- Other duties as assigned.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities for this level. Coaches and motivates team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent and manufacturing environment experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Possess an understanding of SK Food Group fundamentals: Principles, Mission, Counseling process, Attendance and Basic benefits.

Full understanding of floor operations to include:
- Component delivery, Product specs, Label Verifications, Non-Conformance, Rework, Actual versus theoretical process and Units per minute measurements and targets
- Must successfully complete SK Lean 101 course. Start SK Lean certification training program.
- Basic understanding of slicing equipment to participate in assembly and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of the components and the product line.
- Good knowledge of product specifications, pallet configuration and product placements.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime, as necessary.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook and Excel specifically) is required.

REQUIRED TRAINING
This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Training is also required
on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.
