Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. This role involves working in various settings, including inpatient, clinic, home care, and hospice palliative medicine, with a focus on delivering high-quality nursing services to patients of all ages, particularly children. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Cerner and Athenahealth for documentation and communication.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various settings including inpatient units, clinics, home care environments, and hospice palliative care.
- Operate neonatal ventilators when necessary and provide specialized care for pediatric patients.
- Participate in coding processes to ensure accurate medical record keeping.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth is preferred.
- Previous experience in inpatient settings, home care, or hospice palliative medicine is advantageous.
- Knowledge of coding practices related to nursing documentation is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating neonatal ventilators is beneficial but not required.
