Laboratory Support Associate - 2nd Shift

Position Summary:

The Laboratory Support Associate is a critical role at the site that is responsible for maintaining clean environments within laboratory areas at the campus. This role works with other team members under minimal supervision to maintain lab spaces in appropriate working states to allow scientists in development, testing, and manufacturing departments to focus on critical client activities. Quality and compliance at the forefront of priorities, this role will follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to independently tackle daily responsibilities and ensure that all daily tasks are completed to the highest standards. The Laboratory Support Associate’s will also perform other support-based functions. The Laboratory Support Associate works on a 2nd shift Monday-Friday and will report into an Operations Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for routine and deep cleaning activities necessary for maintaining lab cleanliness in areas of responsibility in accordance to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Responsible for documenting cleaning activities according to SOPs to maintain appropriate recordkeeping
• Gown appropriately based on the governing SOP for that working area (this may include lab coats, and/or sterile gowning)
• Requires being trained and certified to work in a manufacturing cleanroom environment
• Stocking of materials and gowning supplies.
• Responsible to maintain inventory accuracy for supplies within areas assigned, this includes Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) training for computer transactions via SAP
• Ensures all work is completed in compliance with SOPs and safety policies.
• Additional project-based activities aligned with improving organizational, functional, and/or compliance of labs at the site
• Additional responsibilities as needed
  
  

Education & Experience:

• B.S./A.S. degree preferred, GED or High School Diploma required
• Experience in a scientific, medical, or other laboratory setting strongly preferred
• Proven track record of maintaining the highest quality and ability to follow established SOPs
• Prior work within a cleanroom environment highly desirable (sterile gowning certified a plus)
• Ability to motivate and lead teams
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
• Ability to follow SOPs accurately and fully for all assigned functions
• Prioritize quality and pride in work assignments.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and tackle assigned responsibilities together
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to perform routine activities (including cleaning movements) in gowning (up to full sterile gowning) for long periods of time
• Ability to periodically lift up to 25lbs
