Job Summary
The Staffing and Data Coordinator coordinates in conjunction with department leadership, staffing requirements and scheduling for Skagit Regional Clinics, Urgent Care locations. Responsible for acquiring and coordinating quality and operations data, creating and generating reports and performing general clerical duties. Assists the Clinical Administrative team, as required. Works effectively and cooperatively within the workplace. Location/Department specific tasks and competencies may apply. Essential Functions
Coordinates daily staffing requirements and scheduling of Urgent Care Clinics. Under the direction of department leadership, develops staffing schedules in accordance with established matrix, budgetary restraints and SRH policies and procedures. Notifies appropriate personnel regarding staffing changes in a timely manner. Ensures payroll and staffing schedules are accurate and complete prior to submission to department leadership. Monitors overtime, premium pay and contractual requirements for patient care staff. Ensures pay rules are accurate and consistently applied. Assures staffing compliance with contract requirements and SRH policies and procedures. Notifies appropriate personnel and department leadership of compliance issues. Coordinates unit master schedules and distributes to appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Tracks and monitors licensure, certification and validation of patient care staff assuring regulatory compliance. Researches and prepares reports as required. Maintains and enhances a variety of databases, statistics and reports. Assembles dashboards as required in support of department, committee and/or leadership requirements. Actively participates in all quality improvement activities. Performs general clerical duties in a timely manner as required. Assists the Administrative Clinical team, Urgent Care personnel and Providers, as required. Assists co-workers, patients, visitors, Physicians and others in a courteous and professional manner. Processes telephone calls appropriately, in a courteous and timely manner. Maintain ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department specific software applications to perform work. Communicate effectively and cooperatively in the workplace. Complies with SRH policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by Leadership or designee.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital staffing desired.
Experience/Training
Minimum one year clerical experience. Previous scheduling and data management experience required. Any combination of education and experience that would demonstrate the capability of performing the duties of this position will be considered.
License/Certifications
None.
Other Skills
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient computer and office equipment skills. Must be able to proficiently utilize Microsoft Office and department specific applications to perform work. Experience with Kronos or similar automated time and attendance payroll system is preferred. Must have good organization skills and be able to work independently and coordinate multiple priorities. Understands the basic concepts of data management (collection, aggregation, display, storage, validity and reliability); principles of release and retention of information. Commitment to quality and collaboration in a team based environment. Strong customer service skills required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; when working in office. Repetitive tasks such as typing, sitting, answering phones, and interacting with computers and computer systems most of the day is a function of the position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus. This position requires working in an indoor, environmentally controlled environment when in the office. This position is remote eligible. Must be able to work independently with little supervision in a home environment with privacy.
