What are the responsibilities and job description for the Returns Supervisor position at Skechers USA, Inc.?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise Returns staff to ensure employees have a safe working environment, are treated fairly and in accordance with company policy, and are productive and focused on company goals.
- Ensure the presence and stability of controls to maintain the integrity of receipts and proper accountability of inventory.
- Develop and maintain effective department reporting, for example: carryover reports, department volume/status/productivity reports, individual productivity/accuracy reports, project reporting, labor reporting, etc.
- Communicate issues as necessary to appropriate contacts in other departments, corporate office, and upper management.
- Respond appropriately to issues and requests raised by other departments.
- Continually evaluate department procedures to optimize department performance.
- Ensure compliance with SOX or Customs requirements for FTZ or CTPAT.
- Learn all department procedures and continually reevaluate them.
- Perform training and employee development.
- Implement and ensure continuity of a proper training program as well as cross-training for employees.
- Complete EO training request forms as needed.
- Ensure employee accuracy and adherence to procedures.
- Audit work performed by employees for accuracy and address any problems found.
- Coordinate storage, shipments, and pick ticket processing of damaged assortments.
- Help track and organize shoebox inventory and ensure rapid turn-around and accurate accountability for product with damaged boxes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 5 years’ experience in comparable Distribution environment required
- Returns Experience Preferred
- Prior direct supervision experience preferred
- Bilingual, Spanish required
