What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ski Instructor position at Ski Blue Hills?
Reports to: Ski/SB Supervisors
Job Purpose: Teach customers to ski/snowboard in a safe manner and convert those new to the sport into lifetime skiers/riders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Participate in training clinics. *
· Familiarize oneself with lessons, programs, and pricing of Blue Hills products. *
· Assist and encourage customers to participate and improve during lesson time using appropriate techniques for their age and skill level. *
· Encourage guests at all times and encourage them to stick with the lesson/sport after lesson completion. *
· Follow all safe practices and protocols for customers during lessons. *
· Interact with customers effectively to create a positive experience.
· Maintain proper appearance (as determined by management) at all times.
· Be committed to customer service.
· Be aware of all safety, payroll, and workers comp. policies.
Qualifications:
· Must be 14 years of age or older.
· Must be able to ski or snowboard.
· Must have a complete understanding, after training and testing, of the process and techniques for teaching individuals of all ages to ski or snowboard.
· Must be proficient and professional in interacting with the general public, face to face.
· Must be punctual, meticulous, and reliable.
Working Conditions:
· Outdoors, possible extreme weather conditions. *
· Fast-Paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to stand for an extended period of time. *
· Must be able to lift heavy objects. *
· Possess suitable clothing that is appropriate for anticipated and actual weather conditions.
