We are seeking a skilled Nurse Educator to join our team at our Brooklyn, NY facility. As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will play a key role in managing and maintaining high standards of care for our residents.
The ideal candidate will have experience from a long-term care environment and bring strong leadership and communication abilities to the table. We offer competitive compensation and a robust benefits package, including a $7,500 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure compliance and foster clear communication with nursing teams
- Leading staff education and acting as the Infection Control Officer
- Meeting the medical and nursing needs of all residents
- Planning and coordinating nursing services across the facility
- Staying current with nursing practices and theory
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of medical documentation
- Assisting in the hiring, interviewing, and orientation of new nursing staff
- Being adaptable to changing demands and maintaining a flexible schedule as needed
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in New York
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in long-term care
- 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in staff education is a plus
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours
This is a full-time opportunity with a salary range of $110,000 - $155,000 per year. Our comprehensive benefits package includes 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
