Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Nurse Educator Opportunity
A skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a Registered Nurse to fill the role of ADON/Nurse Educator. The ideal candidate brings experience from a long-term care environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) to maintain high standards of care.
- Lead staff education and serve as Infection Control Officer.
- Ensure compliance and facilitate clear communication with nursing teams.
- Meet medical and nursing needs of all residents.
- Plan and coordinate nursing services across the facility.
- Stay current with nursing practices and theory.
- Complete medical documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with hiring, interviewing, and orienting new nursing staff.
- Be adaptable to changing demands and maintain a flexible schedule as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in New York.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in long-term care.
- 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in staff education is beneficial.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time.
- Pay: $110,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year.
