Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and uphold Skilled Trades Services’ standards, policies, and procedures.
- Meet Skilled Trades Services’ attendance and conduct requirements, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Foster a positive work environment with co-workers and maintain a strong, positive attitude.
- Follow all Skilled Trades Services and OSHA safety guidelines; assist in monitoring job-site safety and identify potential concerns.
- Take directions from the Roofing Team Leader regarding job-site tasks and production goals.
- Learn and develop skills to meet Skilled Trades Services’ quality standards for sheet metal roofing installations.
- Help organize and place materials on the job-site.
- Ensure all equipment is in safe working condition, reporting any issues to the Team Leader and arranging for repairs as needed.
- Maintain clean and orderly job-sites as well as Skilled Trades Services facilities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be in good physical condition with excellent balance.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
- Comfortable working at heights, with no fear of heights.
- Able to work in hot, strenuous, and dirty conditions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English at a high school level.
- Basic mechanical and mathematical skills.
- Capable of climbing ladders, working in man lifts, and performing tasks at heights.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs., perform bending and material handling, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Eager to learn and meet Skilled Trades Services’ standards for roofing material installation.
- Willing to learn proper equipment usage and maintenance.
- Basic understanding of tools.
- Obtain Skilled Trades Services forklift certification.
- Obtain additional certifications as required for lifts, lulls, and other equipment.
