Claims Intake Coordinator
Purpose: Employee notification alert by phone that consists of interviewing, documenting, and referring for required medical treatment. Will serve as an administrative support for Claims Manager and on call intake Safety Medical Coordinator.
Home Location: Commerce, CA
Service Location: Orange County, Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, Riverside County, Ventura County.
Job Details
- On call to receive incoming notifications of potential work-related injuries
- Interview and document verbal statement by conducting a series of questions
- Refer and communicate nature of injury to assigned medical provider
- Obtain Workers Comp claim forms for Injury profile
- Create file on sever with all supporting documents
- Process claim, evaluate and identify red flags for corrective action needed
- Create reports on trends, provide feedback and distribute weekly safety trends to Safety Manager
- Maintain medical management of claim goal of closure (max 30 days) -
- Must have 2-3 interactive visits with injured employee (1) initial injury (2) follow up medical -via face time or in person
- Creates summary of claim by the 30th day and refers to management for review if claims continue treatment.
- Travel is required on a case by case basis
- Position will include auditing and recordkeeping
Experience Required: Comprehension of Workers compensation claims, investigations, detail oriented, ability to elaborate and review confidential sensitive information with management and other professionals including medical doctors and legal advisors in an expeditious, prompt, and efficient manner. Must be bilingual (English / Spanish) Position: will report to the Director of HR
Salary : $68,640
