We are looking for a Product Compliance Assistant to join us in advancing the industry forward. This position is Los Angeles based and will report to the Head Global Product Compliance.
The Role
As the Compliance Analyst, you would be responsible for helping SKIMS deliver outstanding product quality to our customers. You will be accountable for: measuring and ensuring product compliance guidelines are being followed; tracking and following up on testing; communicating with suppliers; and coordinating status updates and developing compliance KPI’s with the Head of Global Product Compliance.
Strong experience and administrative skills, especially in data analysis, verbal/written communication, and follow-through with internal/external stakeholders in a time-sensitive and fast-moving department is desired. The successful candidate is responsible for monitoring seasonal testing outcomes, communicating with suppliers/providers, setting up critical meetings with cross functional partners, and assisting in executing compliance projects and strategies as needed. In addition, they are responsible for quality assurance through our supplier base, monitoring the adherence to factory and product requirement standards and supporting/completing ad-hoc projects as assigned by management.
Responsibilities:
· Manages day-to-day tracking of testing reports and follow-up communication with suppliers on testing submissions/status.
· Analyzes and validates compliance documentation, certifications and records.
· Maintains chemical & physical testing program record keeping in alignment with Production, PD, Sourcing and Legal teams.
· Enters and submits materials for testing with providers as-needed.
· Works with Head of Product Compliance on developing KPI dashboards & presentations for products, materials, testing and risk assessment reports
· Updates and analyzes compliance KPI’s
· Assists in onboarding communication of new suppliers
· Continuously pursues improvement opportunities in communication, compliance, quality, cost, and service
Required Skills:
· AA or Bachelor’s degree
· 1-3 years’ experience in relevant field
· Must have excellent Excel, data analysis, KPI/dashboard, presentation and MS Office skills
· Strong tracking, problem solving, troubleshooting, and follow-through skills
· Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills
· Able to focus and achieve results within a consistently evolving environment
· Prior experience with lab testing/protocols, basic chemistry, quality measurements and grading preferred
· Prefer candidate that is knowledgeable in apparel manufacturing
· Previous experience in fashion desired
· Bi-lingual in mandarin a plus
