Job Summary
We are seeking a Tax Manager who is organized, detail oriented, flexible, motivated and has a professional demeanor and presentation. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Accountant that possesses significant taxation and accounting experience. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of client assignments to include tax return preparation, tax planning, tax research and advisory services in various industries and service areas. You’ll utilize your experience and background to provide excellent client service to help our clients reach their goals.
General Accountabilities
- Examines accounts and records and computes taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations
- Assists with complex federal, state and local tax issues and planning
- Advises clients regarding effects of business activities on taxes, and on strategies for minimizing tax liability
- Ensures compliance with internal policies and agency rules and regulations
- Reviews prepared tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts and estates
- Organizes and maintains tax records and conducts tax studies and special projects
- Provides direction and input for the development of accounting applications, reports, forms and documented procedures
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Manage a team of professionals
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
- Master’s degree, Taxation strongly preferred
- CPA designation required
- 6-10 years’ experience in public accounting firm required
