We are working with a leading advisory firm that serves a sophisticated, multi-generational client base of high-net-worth individuals and families. Clients rely on this team for innovative, forward-thinking tax strategies across income, gift, estate, and charitable planning. Many of these clients maintain their own Family Offices, and the firm maintains strong collaborative relationships with prominent investment advisory and estate law firms nationwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Tax Manager looking to step into an advisory-heavy role with exposure to complex planning structures and top-tier clientele. This role has the potential to be Full Remote, Hybrid, or Onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth clients and family offices, delivering proactive insights and tailored solutions.
Lead engagement teams in the preparation and review of financial statements, tax returns, and other deliverables, ensuring quality and timely execution.
Conduct strategic and technical reviews as part of final engagement quality control.
Manage multiple client relationships, engagements, and special projects simultaneously.
Guide and mentor staff through supervision, training, and performance development.
Partner with leadership on business development efforts including proposals, client meetings, and cross-service initiatives.
Contribute to a positive team culture by supporting firm initiatives and fostering collaboration.
Maintain current knowledge of tax laws, planning strategies, and industry trends.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Active CPA license or equivalent certification
6 years of experience in public accounting or related advisory work
3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity
Strong communication skills with ability to interface effectively across all levels of an organization
Proficiency with applicable tax and accounting technology
Ability to travel as required by client engagements
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, or related discipline
Prior experience working with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, or family offices
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, including time spent at the office and/or client site (minimum 3 days per week)
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary targeting $140,000–$160,000, commensurate with experience, education, and skills
