Janitorial Supervisor- Full-time position (35-40 hours/week). Scheduled primarily Monday-Friday, evenings 3:30 - 11:00pm, but subject to change. Weekend availability necessary for occasional shifts/projects. Occasional holiday shifts required. Worksite is a factory environment.
- Applicants should have prior experience that includes commercial cleaning, floor care (carpets, waxing), and leadership (shift lead or supervisor). Referances required.
- Supervise 1-3 employees and provide them with the knowledge and support necessary to meet their job responsibilities. Lead through example and positive support.
- Ensure completion of work assignments and monitor the quality of work being performed to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Professionally communicate with customer(s) onsite to ensure satisfaction with service and respond to concerns or requests.
- Complete checklists, schedule projects, maintain inventory of supplies, request equipment repairs.
- You would be responsible for properly maintaining and cleaning all assigned facility areas which can include, but not limited to, restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, offices, lobbies, conference rooms, and stairwells.
- Complete daily cleaning tasks which include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning glass, emptying trash, dusting surfaces, polishing fixtures, sanitizing surfaces, stocking and cleaning dispensers.
- Complete required floor care projects, which can include stripping & waxing, machine scrubbing, buffing, and carpet extraction.
- Ensure all employees comply with company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, standards of conduct.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bring honesty and integrity to the work that you do.
- Must have the desire to perform detailed cleaning duties.
- 2 years prior commercial cleaning experience required.
- 1 year prior supervising experience required.
- 1 year floor care experience required.
- 1 year customer service experience preferred.
- Valid Drivers license required.
- Must have the physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and have the stamina to be able to stand for long periods, walk, bend, twist, climb stairs, and reach high and low during your shift.
- Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment, and tools to complete assigned tasks.
- Work a consistent, regular schedule, supporting your fellow employees as well as the company's customer by creating a clean environment.
- Must comply with all proper safety policies and procedures and wearing of provided PPE provided which can include disposable gloves, safety glasses, safety vest, ear protection, and steel toe shoes.
- Must be able to read and write in English in order to read work related information and complete checklists.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
