The Company: Skobel's School Uniforms has been in business for nearly 50 years. We are the largest school uniform vendor in the New Orleans Area.
The Position: We are looking to hire a top Business Development Director to work with existing and potential school accounts. Pay will be base plus commission. We want a driven person who is determined to make over $100,000 each year. Someone who is not driven and able to make six figures will not do well on our team.
Responsibilities would include:
- Services existing schools and accounts, and establishes new relationships with schools by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Focuses business development efforts by studying existing and potential volume.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Location: We handle all office tasks from our Gretna store. It is centrally located within New Orleans just off the West Bank Expressway and Crescent City Connection. You can be in most areas of the city in 15 minutes. However, this position would take you to schools all over the New Orleans area and would allow you to work from other locations from time to time.
