Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Skokie Park District is looking for an Assistant Instructor for our Junior and Adult lesson programs for this coming season, May - August 2025! Our fun-filled lesson programs take place at both the Weber Park Golf Course and Skokie Sports Park.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Group instruction for junior golfers ages 5-16

Adult group instruction ages 16 and older

Able to follow and relay the direction of lead instructor and Management.

Must be enthusiastic and provide feedback in a positive and encouraging way.

Promote Tournaments and specials at both Weber Park Golf Course and SSP.

Engage in regular communication with parents about their child’s progression.

Lead staff and instruct golfers on various drills and golf specific games.

Managing supplies for activities, anticipating needs and replenishing as necessary

Setting up and breaking-down site

Work with lead instructor on course syllabus, rosters, and scheduling.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
The best applicants will be available to work up to 30 hours a week. The candidate should be an Adult 18 years old and have extensive golf knowledge and etiquette, including prior experience working with golfers of all ages and skill levels.
PAY & SCHEDULING
This is a part time seasonal position (May-Aug). Candidates should expect to work evenings and weekends. Additional hours may be required depending on group lesson participation, tournaments, and league play. Pay $16 - $17 DOQ (dependent upon qualifications) – plus generous golfing benefits!
** This job falls in paygrade PT4. The target hiring range for this position is $ 16.00 - $17.00 depending on qualifications.
