Responsibilities
- Interact with Nature Center patrons who walk in, phone, or participate in programming.
- Provide information to the public about Skokie Park District programs and rentals, and handle program registrations and rental reservations.
- Process cash transactions for rentals, programs, and gift shop sales; balance the cash register daily.
- Supervise room rentals, reviewing rental policies and procedures with the customers and checking on rental activities.
- Coordinate daily camp attendance, early camper pick-ups, and other camp related responsibilities.
- Provide administrative and program assistance as needed, including staffing admissions at seasonal special events.
- Open and/or close the facility as scheduled.
Hours: 10 hours/week seasonal special events
Friday – 4.5-hour shift
Saturday – 4.5-hour afternoon shift
** This job fall in paygrade PT4. The target hiring range for this position is beginning at $ 15.50 - $ 17.50 DOQ

Qualifications
Requirements
Seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented adult to handle weekday and weekend office operations and supervise building activities, providing excellent customer service. A high level of initiative and attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience with computers is preferred. Mandatory first aid and CPR training provided.
