Description
The Substitute Lead Preschool Teacher shall work with the assistant teacher with daily classroom tasks and routines. Under the direction of the Preschool Director, participates in planning and implementing appropriate activities promoting the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of children enrolled in the preschool program aged 2 to 5 years of age. Supervises children closely to ensure their health and safety. Establishes a nurturing relationship with the children and their families. Serves as an appropriate role model to the students. Assists in maintaining necessary records and reports pertaining to those children enrolled in the preschool program as required by DCFS. Maintains an organized and neat classroom, sanitizes tables, toys and equipment. As requested, attends meetings and training sessions and other programs and events that take place outside of the normally scheduled hours.
