Compensation: $20.23-$20.23/hour

Tessera is seeking a focused and helpful Grounds Maintenance Worker with a can-do attitude.

Typical Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Shall perform mowing, trimming, edging, weed and brush control.
• Shall pick up and remove all rubbish, debris, and trash (which includes, but is not limited to; rocks, paper, pine cones, limbs, and other portable objects) within the maintenance area and all trash, papers and limbs lodged in shrubs, hedges, fences, and along foundation walls.
• Shall load large wheel barrels with debris.
• Shall perform basic maintenance of grounds equipment.
• May operate a tractor and/or mower, weed eaters, chain saws and brush cutters.
• Reading and understanding contract requirements and maps.
• Utilize company phones and respond to phone calls promptly.
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task throughout work day, with constant interruptions.
• Includes spending large portions of each day operating a weed trimmer.
• All other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in grounds maintenance or prior labor experience is preferred but not required. Specialized vocational, technical, or other formal training may be substituted in part for experience.
• Work both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
  
  
  

Requirements

• A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
