Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to take the lead in overseeing and managing the construction of prestigious hospitality and restaurant projects based in the New York city arena. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the hospitality construction sector, particularly in managing complex, high-profile projects that demand exceptional attention to detail and strategic oversight. Our Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality while effectively navigating the unique challenges presented within the detailed hospitality industry.

In this role, you will leverage your industry knowledge and leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams through every phase of the project lifecycle. Your ability to foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders will be essential in driving project success, maintaining high levels of satisfaction and ensuring repeat clientele.

Requirements

Responsibilities :

Project Planning & Management :

  • Develop detailed project plans tailored to the unique requirements of hospitality and restaurant construction, including scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept and design through to construction and final handover.
  • Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, kitchen consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of all project elements.

Leadership & Team Management :

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary project team, including project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes quality and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership in solving complex project issues, ensuring that all team members are aligned with project goals and objectives.
  • Budget & Financial Management :

  • Prepare and manage detailed budgets, ensuring that all financial aspects of the project are tracked and controlled.
  • Monitor and report on project financials, addressing cost variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, change orders, and payment applications.
  • Risk & Quality Management :

  • Identify and mitigate risks specific to hospitality and restaurant construction, such as schedule delays, quality control issues, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality, with a focus on creating durable, aesthetically pleasing, and functional spaces.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, safety, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong, positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage client expectations, ensuring that all project deliverables align with their vision, brand standards, and operational requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders, including clients, designers, and contractors.
  • Documentation & Reporting :

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present detailed project status reports to clients and senior management, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, complete, and securely stored for future reference.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of work experience in construction or related job field or equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.
  • Well organized, excellent communication, strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction drawings.
  • Strong computer knowledge across Microsoft 365.

  • Salary Range : $120,000 - $150,000 dependent upon experience.

Some of the factors we consider may include : qualifications of individual applicants against the position and business needs, years of relevant experience in role or industry, specific or unique skills, certifications or professional accreditations specific to the role, and the location in which the applicant lives and / or from which they will perform the role. The anticipated range for compensation shared here does not include any other components or benefits that may available.

    Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
