About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Manufacturing Quality Control Specialist to ensure that all products meet industry and company standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting aerospace components and assemblies to verify compliance with engineering specifications, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of quality control processes, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of aerospace parts, components, and assemblies at various stages of manufacturing (incoming, in-process, and final inspections) to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), and gauges to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Document and report non-conformances and collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred).
- 2 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing quality inspection or a related field.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and CMM programming (preferred).
- Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA regulations is a plus.
