Position Title: Grants Specialist (SME)

Location: Remote (100%)

Duration: Fulltime

The Grants Specialist SME will possess extensive, enterprise-level knowledge and experience in federal grant-making policies, procedures, and administration, covering the entire grant lifecycle. This role requires providing strategic insight and advice on industry-standard solutions for assessments and data analysis related to grant management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff, offering analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for optimizing federal grant management and administration.
• Develop and implement best practices for data collection methodologies and analysis concerning federal grant administration, oversight, and audits.
• Lead surveys to collect and analyze data, defining requirements and recommending solutions for mission-critical grant management challenges.
• Offer high-level vision and direction to program/project managers and teams, influencing the objectives of complex projects.
• Demonstrate expertise in training, supervising, and monitoring staff involved in the daily administration of federal grants, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Provide leadership in grant policy and procedure development, process flows, document management, and reporting.
• Maintain strong attention to detail, logical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Communicate effectively through excellent written, verbal, and listening skills, and keep pace with new business and technical concepts.
• Exhibit strong team leadership and risk management skills, while working with minimal supervision.
  
  

Qualifications:

• A minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in planning, conducting, and participating in the facets of performance requirements.
• Master's degree in Public Policy or a related discipline.
• Grants Management certification is highly desired.
  
  

Substitution Criteria:

• Ten (10) years of relevant experience in grant management and administration, with a focus on the areas described above.
• A Bachelor's degree in Public Policy or a related discipline.
