Billing and Collections Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of revenue cycle management, and proficiency in financial software. The Collection Agent will play a crucial role in optimizing our financial processes and ensuring the smooth operation of our collections department.

Responsibilities

• · Set Up/Maintain all of the agreed Line Haul Rates, Fuel Surcharge Tables, Accessorial Rates and/or applicable rates for all customers

· Collect/Process all of the Bill of Ladings from all Trip Envelopes

· Rate all orders/loads schedule to be billed to customers

· Mail/Email/Upload all invoices to customers based on their requirements

· File all invoices (Electronically/Physically)

· Review Aging Report

· Collect payment from all customers

· Send all customers payment reminders and statements

· Assist/Support Payroll Professional with payroll & trip process

· Assist in Amex reporting and gathering of employees expenses

· Assist in fuel reports daily and expenses.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in revenue cycle management or medical collection preferred.
• Proficient in using accounting software and financial tools for tracking collections.
• Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to effectively engage with clients.
• Experience in telemarketing or customer service is beneficial.
• Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
