JOB SUMMARY:
The Restaurant Supervisor will monitor and supervise the day-to-day operations of Seven Rivers Restaurant, and Lounge, ensuring guests are provided with an exceptional fine dining and first-class guest service experience. Restaurant Supervisor will supervise all floor staff including Host/Hostess, Server, Busser and Bartender. Ensure staff is working together as a team to provide optimum service for guest needs. Complete opening and closing duties. Monitor dining room and lounge for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests. Assist management in training, scheduling, evaluating and/or disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees in addition to serving as a role model.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Supervise restaurant staff for the efficient operation of the restaurant.
2. Constantly monitor staff performance in all phases of service and job functions to ensure guest satisfaction and exceptional service.
3. Ensure that all areas of the restaurant are properly staffed and in accordance with business volume.
4. Assist Manager in organizing and conducting pre-meal and departmental meetings to communicate pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes and daily features.
5. Assist Manager in the direction and supervision of food servers, bussers, bartenders and other staff in reference to schedules, service standards, training, motivation, and safety.
6. Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction in restaurant.
7. Inspect table set-ups; check for cleanliness and neatness.
8. Ensure all equipment, furniture, and fixtures are maintained and in clean, working order.
9. Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food in restaurant.
10. Maintain cleanliness of food service areas and equipment.
11. Responsible for assisting in hiring, coaching, and developing team members.
12. Ensures all guests are seated and served in a timely fashion and staff consistently demonstrates warm, friendly, efficient, and courteous guest service.
13. Monitor and ensure that all tables are cleared and reset according to department procedures.
14. Resolve guest and resident complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
15. Ensure all closing duties for staff are completed before leaving shifts.
16. Complete all paperwork and closing duties in accordance with departmental standards.
17. Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale.
18. Provides assistance to guests by providing accurate information regarding restaurant features and local information when appropriate.
19. Must be able to serve guests, take orders, and wait on tables as needed.
20. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must have a High School diploma or equivalency
· Must be at least 21 years old.
· Must have at least five (5) years in the restaurant industry with a minimum of three (3) years' experience as Restaurant Supervisor, preferably in a fine dining style restaurant in a luxury hotel environment.
· Must have extensive food and wine knowledge.
· Must have experience in training service staff at a fine dining level, French style service, etc.
· Must demonstrate proficiency in cashiering and cash handling ability.
· Must have previous experience or demonstrate proficiency in InfoGenesis or related restaurant management software systems and be familiar with manual systems or procedures when computer malfunctions.
· Must have a pleasant and out-going guest oriented personality.
· Must be able to receive and provide direction in English.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and balance multiple priorities successfully.
· Ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs in a timely manner regarding both internal and external guests.
· Must have excellent attendance.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Must be available to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
REASONING ABILITY:
· Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and balance multiple priorities successfully.
· Must be able to anticipate and respond to guest needs in a timely manner regarding both internal and external guests.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
· Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
· Must be able to frequently bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, and stoop throughout each 8–10-hour shift.
· Must have good vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and flexibility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Must be able to work in crowded areas containing high noise levels.
· Always remains sensitive to cultural diversity in the workplace.
· Ability to work in a team environment is necessary.
· Responsible in the use of potentially hazardous equipment including but not limited to heavy equipment and sharp knives.
· Ability to work with standard cleaning solutions and detergents, always using appropriate safety equipment and precautions.
· Must be able to constantly work under close surveillance cameras.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
· Candidates selected for employment will be subject to Employment References and a Background check.
· Must obtain and maintain a Sky Ute Casino Staff license.
· Must comply fully with all Sky Ute Casino’s policies and procedures, Gaming Code regulations, and any applicable policies and regulations set forth by the Casino Resort.
