Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support to unit leadership and respond timely to resident and family needs within the LPN scope of practice.
- Use the nursing process, judgment, and skills to set priorities and deliver quality direct resident care.
- Perform and administer standard nursing treatments and medications, observing residents for desired or unwanted effects.
- Communicate and collaborate with the care team to revise or update the Nursing Care Plan.
- Monitor and document vitals, treatments administered, and resident responses.
- Prepare, organize, oversee, monitor, and evaluate delivery of care for resident CNA assignments and activities.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Licensed and currently registered in good standing in New York as an LPN.
- Dedicated to providing clinically sound and compassionate care.
- Possess a spirit of cooperation, caring, and enthusiasm to create a conducive rehabilitation atmosphere.
- Interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and harmoniously with all staff members.
