Food/Beverage Manager

Sky Zone Grand Rapids is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee our concessions operations. This role is responsible for ensuring a high-quality guest experience by maintaining efficient food service operations, managing inventory, training staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the food & beverage department, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Hire, train, and manage food & beverage team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including food handling and storage procedures.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock while minimizing waste.
• Implement cost control measures to optimize profitability, including portion control.
• Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness and organization of all food service areas.
• Develop and execute strategies to enhance food & beverage sales, including promotions and menu development.
• Work closely with management to align food & beverage operations with overall business goals.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner, ensuring a positive resolution.
• Manage scheduling to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours while controlling labor costs.
• Ensure accurate financial tracking, including cash handling and reporting sales performance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a fast-paced or high-volume environment.
• ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in inventory management and basic financial reporting.
• Experience in event catering and food service planning is a plus.
