Job Description
The AR/AP Accontant Representative will work alongside the Financial Controller and maintain a successful Financial Department.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Student account reconciliations
- Manage Purchase and Sales ledger. Ensure that outstanding balances are regularly reviewed
- Monitor student accounts to ensure timely payment received
- Responsible for billing to contract accounts and individuals for Ground School, Flight school, FAA testing, FAA exams, and all other miscellaneous invoices.
- Serve as Backup for - Raising invoices for NOAA & NELO
- Prepare and update Insurance allocations for employee group health coverages.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Review Bank reconciliation on a regular basis to clear items under area of responsibility
- Oversee the Accounts Payable process and staff, ensuring timely Vendor payment runs
- Managing and approving payment runs using On-line Banking
- Employee Expense reimbursements
- Oversee the Corporate credit card program – manage issuance of cards and ensure monthly receipt of all expenses are reconciled and properly accounted for.
- Maintain adequate funds on credit card account, and send payments as needed to ensure funds are available
- Produce various finance reports
- Support for the Financial Controller as required
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
- Prioritize workflow on a daily basis.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: (Minimum Requirements)
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, minimum 2 years related experience
SOFTWARE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience with accounting packages and business accounting software
- Intermediate Excell skills
- Effective communication skills
- Positive and professional attitude
- Well organized and analytical
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities
- Highly motivated and interested in being part of a small and talented team
- Experience of working within a small finance team
